About: The Birr Theatre of Music & Video celebrated its 10th anniversary across the May Bank Holiday weekend (April 30th to May 4th, 2026). The festival featured classical music, swing, community choir performances and the prestigious Trench Award for emerging artists. The 2026 program delivered a packed schedule of performers and events across various local venues in Birr, County Offaly. Some of the event6s included a performance by world-reowned soprano Celine Byrne and a “Golden Age of Jazz & Swing” night featuring the Niall Kinsella orchestra & Stella Bass. The centrepiece of the festival, supporting emerging classical singers and instruments from the Midlands & Mid-West regions. Performances by the Sing It ! Community Choir at St Brendan’s Church of Ireland & Pop-Up events by Birr Young.
