To say the festival programme for “That Beats Banagher” has something for everybody is no idle boast.
That Beats Banagher, the annual summer festival of Banagher, Co. Offaly makes a welcome return on this July, and is full of activities for the whole family to enjoy, including the return of FLOW – our wellness area, a blacksmithing celebration, our first Genetic Genealogy Conference and a spectacular Fireworks Display! This year we are celebrating our 10th Festival and the events will run over two consecutive weekends;14th, 15th & 16th July and 21st – 23rd July
The festival, now celebrating its 10th year, takes place throughout various locations in the town, with a particular focus on the water to celebrate the town’s picturesque setting on the River Shannon. Lots of water activities, workshops, classes, and demonstrations will take place on the weekend of the 15th of July followed by a very special Brontë event ‘Celebrating Charlotte Brontës Associations with Banagher’ which will include talks, film screenings, and exhibitions from the 21st to the 23rd July.
