About: That Beats Banagher Festival returns to Banagher, County Offaly from July 24th to 26th, 2026. Celebrating the town’s history and community, the 2026 event will feature live music, heritage walks, Shannon boat trips, open mic sessions and the blacksmithing and iron smelting. The Fire Festival (Forged in Ireland/Furnance festival) featuring 40 blacksmiths, iron smelting workshops and the “Long Puck” across the River Shannon. There will be Heritage Tours, film screenings, community & arts events. The event explores the local history behind the phrase “That Beats Banagher” and highlights the town’s rich heritage. Specific event schedules and booking information are expected to be released closer to the date on their social media channels and local websites. Based on previous years, the festival often includes a vibrant mis of family-friendly activities with strong links to the local arts, heritage and scenic River Shannon.
