About:  The 2026 Bog Trotters Festival in Clara, County Offaly, is a nature-based event celebrating peatland heritage, likely held around Solstice in June. It features guided bog walks, workshops, music and for 2026, it will feature the continued Bog Bothy Tour (A partnership with the Irish Architecture Foundation). It is based in Clara, County Offaly, specifically at the Clara House estate & the surrounding areas. This immersive festival invites the public to explore the past and future of Ireland’s peatlands through an exciting programme of guided walks, site visits, live talks, art & craft exhibitions, music, drama and a wonderful Summer Solstice Celebration with live music featuring Barnburner, Pippa Molony, Rory Sweeney & Ever After, ( Cousin Family). A free event with a BBQ cooked by Island Farm Foods
