About: The Birr Vintage Week & Arts Festival for 2026 is scheduled for Friday, July 31st to Saturday August 8th 2026. This annual week-long event in Birr, County Offaly features a vintage parade, street theatre, live music, a festival gig rig, an antique and fine art fair, fireworks and numerous community events, drawing roughly 6,000 attendees. The festival which has run for over 40 years, is reowned for its immersive atmosphere, celebrating the history of motorized vehicles alongside local culture. Birr Vintage Week & Arts Festival is our annual community arts festival here in Birr, County Offaly featuring professional, national and international artists bringing visual arts theatre, music street theatre, pop up performers, workshops, exhibitions and lots more together with a variety of community events. It is one of the longest running festivals of its kind in Ireland. The original ‘Birr Vintage Week’ began back in 1968 by celebrating the unique Georgian heritage of the town of Birr and town all things vintage ! Now, 57 years later, our Festival is nationally – acknowledged as a unique historical, cultural and community – focused celebration. The people of Birr, those who live here and those who return for the Festival are enormously proud of Vintage Week.
